Right on the edge of my school campus sits an amazing football field surrounded by the trees. I like how the goal post stands out among the tree line with a glimpse of the field in the foreground.
Photography means something different to everyone. For some, it may be a selfie on your iPhone, and for others it may be what pays the bills. All people have a different idea of what they want to see when they take a picture. Some things that may appeal to one person, may be hated by the next.

Black and white images have always appealed to me in some way. I never really knew why until I actually started taking pictures myself, and I've come to the conclusion that the simplicity and general tone of an image is very difficult to capture with a lack of color, but when you do get that one perfect image, it beats all colorful images. I have taken great pictures of color that I was quite proud of.  But there is something about it that just feels missing sometimes. If I try to edit that into a black and white image and it doesn't work, then then I may just give up on the photo all together.

As I said before, some images that may appeal to some, are disliked by others. At the end of the day though, you have to be taking that picture for you, and not people you want to show it to. They may like it, they may not. And it is what it is. Over the next couple weeks I will be taking some images that appeal to me and the style of photography that I am interested in. Enjoy.
